Zen and Calligraphy
Shodo writing is a practice of zen and concentration. You'll learn the basic calligraphy technique, be able to choose any kanji (ideograms imported from China), and learn the meaning of the letter you choose. You'll take home what you write on Hanshi (paper special made for shodo calligraphy), which could be one of the most meaningful souvenirs you take home. You can bring a part of Japanese culture home with you.
